If the equipment looks familar it is because many of the automotive equipment supplies Made in the USA come from a long line of popular manufactures.  In mid 20th century there was Blackhawk red, Hein-Werner orange and Walker blue. Lincoln Automotive bought Walker and started a reign that lasted over twenty years.  Hein-Werner and Blackhawk merged and then in the early nineties were bought by Lincoln Automotive.  Then Lincoln tried to stay competitive by manufacturing overseas.  They were unable to maintain quality and soon sold out.  The purchasers maintained the overseas manufacturing and did no better than Lincoln had done.  Finally a company with deep overseas manufacturing roots saw a need for a good USA Made product.  In 2003 Shinn Fu Company of America bought the Marquette Lifting and Porto-Power Collision Repair Equipment.  In 2004, after extensive retooling, they introduced the Hein-Werner Automotive Lifting equipment and re-launched the Porto-Power Collision Repair Equipment Line. In late 2007 they brought the products that had been made in Mexico home to the US. With that move they increased the US Made number of maintenance equipment to 51 items.

In 1985, Omega Hydraulic Industries Co., Ltd. of Taiwan, a manufacturer of heavy duty service jacks, merged with Shinn Fu Corporation of Taiwan, the worlds largest manufacturer of hydraulic lift equipment.  Shinn Fu Company of America had been established in Kansas City, MO in 1978 and started doing business as SFA Companies in 2001. They manufactured under private label projects for many OEM companies, and still do, until 1997 when Omega Lift Equipment was launched in the US and Canada.  They hold many US patients on their unique and innovative designs, such as "Majic Lift", "Speedy Lift" and "EZ Lift".  These designs provide individuals and repair shops quality equipment at affordable prices.  They were awarded certification of ISO-9002 in 1997 and QS-9000 in 1999 and meet ASME/ANSI industry guidelines.
